A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Judicial Research and Training Institute (JRTI) and the Judicial Training, Research and Information Academy of Mongolia (JTRIA) was signed on April 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the main conference hall of JRTI. This agreement establishes a solid framework for bilateral exchange and cooperation between the two judicial education institutions, promoting the joint development of training programs, advancing comparative legal research, and enhancing institutional capacity through sustained collaboration.
The ceremony was attended by KIM Si Cheol, President of JRTI; LEE Jun Myeong, Chief Professor of JRTI; ERDENECHIMEG Dashpuntsag, Director of JTRIA; and MAGNAIBAYAR Munkhdavaa, Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals for Criminal and Civil Cases of Tuv Aimag, along with a delegation of 18 Mongolian legal professionals, whose visit aimed to strengthen their understanding of judicial research methodologies, gain insight into the operational practices of the Korean judiciary and legal training system, and observe Korea’s legal framework and cultural context.
The delegation expressed sincere appreciation for the warm welcome extended by the JRTI and conveyed their expectation that the MoU would serve as a meaningful foundation for expanding areas of cooperation between the two institutions.
